Sorptive deformation in intracrystalline diffusion of trans-2-butene in NaA zeolite

Bulletin of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR, Division of chemical science Aims and scope

Conclusions

  1. 1.

Kinetic measurements have been made on the intracrystalline sorption of trans-2-butene and the resulting deformation of granulated NaA zeolite with crystal radii 1.19, 5, 9, and 12 μm. It has been shown that the rates of sorption and deformation essentially coincide.

  2. 2.

From the linear dependence of the first statistical moment of the kinetic curves of sorption and deformation on the square of the crystal radius, the coefficient of intracrystal-line diffusion of trans-2-butene in granulated NaA zeolite has been determined: 1·10−16 m2/ sec.
