Quantal friction, nonlinear Hamiltonians, and information theory

Abstract

Information theory ideas together with entropy dynamical properties are combined in order to formulate a new algorithm for the treatment of non-linear Hamiltonians, whether time dependent or not. The approach is illustrated with reference to Kostin's Hamiltonian and the General Friction one.
