Mucocele der Appendix und Pseudomyxoma peritonei

Zusammenfassung

Es wird über vier Fälle von Mucocele der Appendix berichtet, die in drei Fällen zum lokalisierten Pseudomyxoma peritonei, geführt hatten. Die Schleimhaut zeichnet sich durch eine Hyperplasie und Ausbildung zahlreicher Becherzellen aus, die für die besonders starke Schleimsekretion verantwortlich sind.

Ein Fall (5) von diffusem Pseudomyxoma peritonei zeigt deutlich, daß eine Schleimausschwemmung ohne Beteiligung von Epithelien zum ausgedehnten Pseudomyxom führen kann.

In einem weiteren Fall (6) von Pseudomyxoma peritonei ex appendice trat nach 11jährigem Verlauf eine maligne Entartung auf.
