Isoscalar transition rates from folding model analyses of (α, α′) scattering

  • Published:
Zeitschrift für Physik A Atoms and Nuclei

Abstract

The folding model approach has been used for extracting isoscalar mass transition rates from inelastic α-particle scattering cross sections. The procedure is demonstrated by several cases based on measurements atE α=104 MeV. Some implications of the method and the significance of the size and shape information of the results are discussed.
