Abstract
We investigate the classical dynamics of charged particles with spin 0 or spin 1/2 in the magnetic field of a rectilinear current filament. It is shown that the motion is confined in the direction perpendicular to the wire. For initial velocities not too great compared to a scaling velocity scal , an analytic solution of the equations of motion is possible.
