Observation of nuclear excitation by electron transition (NEET) in197Au

Abstract

Nuclear excitation was observed in197Au when the Au atom was ionized by pulsed electrons of 100 keV. It is attributable to NEET of Ml interaction. The NEET probability was found to be (2.2±1.8)×10−4.
