Conclusions

  1. 1.

    A reliable and simple design of a sealing ring for the delivery side of mud pumps in place of the obsolete gland was developed.

  2. 2.

    Under high-pressure conditions (at transfer stations) and when developing new mud pumps it is recommended to use seals with two rings.

  3. 3.

    Manufacture of the seals, including the rings, can be accomplished in workshops on simple equipment.
