Abstract
We use a model which accounts for dissipation and statistical fluctuations to compute the double differential cross sectiond 2σ/dθdE. The calculation is performed for the 388 MeV Ar + Th system. The typical experimental pattern of the cross section versus angle and energy is reproduced.
