Abstract

Five clinical case studies of children with learning problems are presented. The clinical application of the definition of the learning disabled child is discussed in relationship to the cases. An informal educational evaluation for the physician in residency and in practice to recognize the learning disabled child is outlined in detail. The role of the neurological examination and electroenceph-alogram in the field of learning disabilities is reviewed. A multidisciplinary approach for the evaluation and treatment of these children is proposed.
