Conclusions

  1. 1.

    For conditions of the Angara and other rivers with clean water it is advisable to use turbine bearings with water-lubricated rubberized bushings.

  2. 2.

    The end seals eliminate shaft wear and with correct manufacture and installation operate reliably for a long time.

  3. 3.

    A shortcoming of the turbine bearings is the absence of devices for adjusting the clearance, which complicates repair and operation.
