Abstract
Condensation of 3-chloro-1,2,3-trimethyl-4-methylidenecyclobutene with 1,2-dimethyl-3,4-dimethylidenecyclobutene under the action of MgBr2 leading to spiro compounds was observed. The scheme of the process is discussed.
