Es wird gezeigt, da\ in dispersen Systemen eine untere Grenze fÜr die Teilchengrö\e existiert. Diese Grenze wird durch folgende Gleichung gegeben: R1im=2a λ/(p-p)(1033-λ)

Aus diesem Grunde kann man die qualitative kolloide Alterung und Stabilisation aufklären.
