Conclusions
The numerical analysis shows the expediency of experimental investigations and designing of orthogonal turbines for low-head hydroelectric stations and for tidal power stations, where their use promises a considerable economic effect. The first experiments with a model of orthogonal turbines with a diameter of 0.25 m at a head of 1 m confirms the main conclusions obtained in the work under consideration.
