Conclusions
-
1.
Improvement of the existing cyclic methods of constructing concrete dams in recent years made it possible to considerably increase the rate of placing concrete and to reduce the specific labor expenditures on placing 1 m3 of concrete in the dam.
-
2.
There are ways to improve further each of the existing methods of delivering concrete to the block. The most promising are the craneless layer-by-layer, cableway, and crane trestleless (stepwise) methods.
-
3.
Further progress in concreting technology as a whole should develop in the direction of improving all concreting operations, especially those within the blocks.
