Hydrotechnical Construction Aims and scope

Conclusions

The proposed approach to evaluating cracking can be used when solving problems of stability (consideration of zones of tension), when investigating the possibility of failure of deformable foundations by tension within and outside the limits of support of the structures, when investigating failure of the surfaces of undermined territories by tension, and when determining pressures on a structure and in other cases in which the occurrence of zones with tension is possible in connection with the conditions of loading the soils.
