Hydrotechnical Construction Aims and scope

Conclusions

  1. 1.

The obtained results of geophysical, seepage, and piezometric control, as well as analyses of similar structures constructed in the world practice, confirm the correctness of the design solutions and the high quality of the performed injection work for the river-channel curtain of the Hoabinh hydraulic development.

  2. 2.

Definite advantages of the constructed curtain lie in complete exclusion, in the carrying out of the drilling and injection work, of scarce and costly bentonitic clays and in use of local clay materials.

  3. 3.

The realized fundamental solutions for sequence in the construction of the grout curtains are effective for the adopted stage filling of the reservoir and startup of the first units of the hydroelectric plant.
