Conclusions

  1. 1.

The engineering-geologic conditions of the rock-fill dam site after implementation of the technical measures for clearing the river bed and the bank abutments to remove sandy and cohesive soils, correspond to the design requirements placed on the dam base.

  2. 2.

The individual small sand lenses left in the base of the dam have not affected its stability or seepage characteristics, which is confirmed by full-scale dam observations carried out during seven years.
