A shock dynamics theory based analytical solution of double Mach reflections

Abstract

The shock-dynamics based governing equations of double Mach reflection (DMR) wave configurations were developed and solved. The analytical results were compared to experimental results from various sources. Very good to excellent agreement was evident.
