Abstract
The Qα-value of100Nb has been measured at the mass separator OSTIS in order to resolve discrepancies between the results of (β-decay and reaction studies concerning the mass of this nucleus. From 9 experimental β-endpoint energies, a consistent Qα-value of 6250±35 keV has been obtained, in agreement with earlier β-spectroscopic studies. This result confirms that the nucleus100Nb belongs to a transition region between spherical and deformed nuclear shape.
