Exact removal of spurious states in RPA calculations

Abstract

An exact, yet simple elimination of spurious states for actual (non-ideal) RPA calculations is presented. The new method restores translational and Galilean symmetry for arbitrary Hamiltonians and arbitrarily truncated ph spaces.
