Abstract
Excited states of219Ac have been investigated via the209Bi(13C,3n) and208pb(15N,4n) reactions by means of in- beam gamma spectroscopy. In two “bands”, the positive and negative parity members are strongly connected by E1 transitions and the measured B(E1)/B(E2) ratio is slightly larger than in218Ra.
