Inclusion of pairing into strutinsky-type cranking calculations

Abstract

The shell correction method for rotating nuclei was generalized to include pairing correlations. This extends the applicability of the cranked Strutinsky-type calculations to the low-spin region. As an illustrative example the yrast-line of24Mg is studied.
