Summary

Yellow fluorescing salicylaldazine is formed when vapors of salicylaldehyde come in contact with acetic acid, acetate buffered solutions of hydrazine. In the form of a spot test, 0.1γ hydrazine can be detected in the presence of 5000γ hydroxylamine.
