Abstract
The 33 MeV86Sr(3He, 3nγ) reaction has been used to re-measure the level structure of theN=46 nucleus86Zr. The lowest 8+ level is found at 3,297.5 keV, consistent with some but not all earlier studies. On the basis of spectroscopic measurements and data-to-data comparisons with otherN=46 nuclei, the 3,531.8 keV level is also suggested as an 8+.
