Abstract
By use of the film balance theF/A-isotherms of five isomericn-heptadecanoic acids with different positions of the carboxylic group atT=298 K and these of the two isomericn-octadecanoic acid-(6, 11) andn-octadecanoic acid (5, 12) in the range 289 <T<308,5 K were studied.
Due to the change of the position of the carboxylic group from the first to the eighth carbon atom within the heptanoic acids the film types, the collaps pressures and the “lift off” areas changes systematically. On the contrary the film behaviour of both the octadecanoic acids (6, 11 rsp. 5, 12) is not markedly changed.
