Abstract
Differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and thermo-optical analysis (TOA) were applied to study the phase transitions phenomena of thermotropic liquid crystalline polymer and its blends with polycarbonate. It was found that both methods are complementary. Glass transition temperatures of the blends of polycarbonate with liquid crystalline polymer were measured and discussed.
