Spring-loaded dial indicating instrument

Measurement Techniques Aims and scope

Conclusions

  1. 1.

Tests of a spring-loaded dial gauge UTsP-400 have shown the possibility of its wide use in metallurgy and other branches of industry, as well as in building. The instrument operates reliably when subjected to vibrations and in very dusty atmospheres. A gauge with springs made of alloy N43KhT operates with an error of ±0.2% of the maximum load with ambient temperatures from +50 to −40°C. For operation under stable temperature conditions the spring can be made of OVS steel.

  2. 2.

The spring-loaded dial gauge UTsP-400 can replace with advantage the more expensive gauges of the quadrant type used in batchers and other installations. It is necessary to start its mass production.
