A simple working hypothesis of the synapses is proposed resulting in the wave equation for the electrochemical field in the brain tissue. This equation is integrated in respect to the self-excited eigenvibrations of a cylindrical model of the brain. Owing to the slit separating the two halves of the brain two types of waves are originated, which perhaps have to be correlated to the physiologic action of our twin organs.
