Central, semicentral and peripheral nucleus-nucleus cross sections in a multiple collision model

Abstract

We deduce the central, semicentral and peripheral nucleus-nucleus cross sections in the rigid projectile approximation of the multiple collision model. The comparison of our formulae with the existing experimental data shows a remarkable agreement.
