Summary
A histologically verified angioreticuloma situated in the sella turcica of a 45 year old male patient is reported. Clinical emphasis is laid on an 8 year history of hypophysial insufficiency, left-sided blindness and a constriction of the right temporal visual field. In agreement with the arteriographic findings this hypervascular tumour had a marked suprasellar and presellar, also a lesser infrasellar, extension. The histological picture of the intrasellar blastoma sections largely corresponded to that of haemangiopericytoma.
The combined presence of constituents of an angioreticuloma and an angiopericytoma is discussed and an angiographie differential diagnosis is postulated.
