Zusammenfassung
Kurze Darstellung der als Lobokauterisation bezeichnenten Modifikation der frontalen Leukotomie. In Modellversuchen an Leichenhirnen sowie an Hand von anatomischen Untersuchungen an Patienten, die nach der Operation verstorben sind, wird beschrieben, in welchen Richtungen das Instrument bei der Lobokauterisation eingeführt wird. Die verschiedenen Durchtrennungsstellen in der grauen und weißen Substanz werden lokalisiert. Zugleich werden die einschlägigen Messungen mitgeteilt.
Summary
There is a short description of the method of frontal leucotomy by diathermy technique. The anatomical results of the technique are described based on experiments on cadavers and on studies of autopsy material. The areas of destruction in both grey and white matter were accurately localized and their extent was measured.

Courte description d'une modification de la leucotomie frontale appelée lobocautérisation. D'aprés des recherches systématiques sur le cerveau du cadavre et des investigations anatomiques sur des patients décédés aprés l'intervention sont décrites les régles selon lesquelles l'instrument doit être conduit lors de la lobocautérisation. La topographie des diverses zones de section dans la substance blanche et la substance grise est indiquée ainsi que les mensurations qui s'y rapportent.

Breve descrizione di una modificazione della lobotomia frontale, definita come Lobocauterizzazione.
Con ricerche anatomiche (anche su cervelli di pazienti deceduti dopo questo intervento) viene stabilita la direzione da imprimere all'istrumento usato per la Lobocauterizzazione.
Vengono localizzate le varie zone da sezionare nella sostanza grigia e nella bianca; e sono forniti le corrispondenti dati metrici.

Una corta descriptión del método de leucotomia frontal con técnica de diatermia. Se describen los resultados anatómicos de ésta interventión sobre la base de experimentas en cadáveres y estudios de autopsia. Se localizaban con precision las areas de destructión en la substancia gris y blanca, midiendo su extensión.
