Refractories Aims and scope

Conclusions

Existing schemes of preparing chamotte-clay mixtures from the point of view of energy consumption, quality of the resulting mixture and the depth of utilization of natural raw materials, and the ecological factor are not effective.

In addition the level of development of milling, classification and mixing techniques are such that we can now create technical schemes for preparing polycomponent mixtures distinguished by relatively low energy consumption and the production of high-grade nondusting mixtures.

The introduction of such schemes into refractories practice will enable us, in addition to increasing the quality of the goods, to stabilize their service properties, increase the degree of use of natural raw materials, reduce the cost of production, and reduce to a minimum the ejection of dust into the work spaces and the surroundings.
