  • Published:
Acta Neurochirurgica Aims and scope Submit manuscript

Summary

Twenty-eight patients with syringomyelia were treated by syringostomy, suboccipital craniotomy, CSF shunt, or a combination of these. In the first months and years after surgery 10 patients were improved. The late results, with the average observation time of 4 years, were less favourable: 4 patients improved, 12 were unchanged, 7 were worse and 5 were dead.
