Commutators and lorentz covariance

  • Published:

Abstract

The Lorentz transformation property of the right hand side of equal time commutators give conditions on Schwinger terms of commutators involving time derivatives. In particular, it is seen that current algebra relations imply special locality properties for the current divergence. Thus, an important element of the hypothesis of partially conserved currents is already contained in the current commutation rules.
