Conclusions
On the basis of some studies of the synthesis, decomposition, and properties, the conditions for obtaining a thermally stable aluminum titanate have been determined; a method of preparing refractories based on that material and having excellent thermomechanical properties has been developed. The relation between the mechanical and thermophysical properties of Al2TiO5 and its microstructure and thermal-shock resistance has been studied.
