Conclusions
A method has been devised for heating particles in a gunite jet. It is found that the temperature of the fine fractions is closely equal to that of the gas. Gunite particles over 0.04 mm in diameter can be 200°K or more hotter than the gas at the end of their flights when there is a temperature drop at the end of the flame. It is possible to regulate the degree of heating of the gunite particles according to their thermophysical characteristics and the fineness of milling, together with the thermal stress and geometry of the jet and the velocity of the particles through its temperature field.
