Conclusions
Magnesia-spinellide refractory coatings for protection of tundish linings of brick refractory parts have been developed.
The use of protective coatings makes it possible to increase the lining life by five heats, to decrease the refractory consumption by 1.6 kg per ton of steel, and to increase the productivity of billet continuous casting machines.
