Conclusions
Comparative investigations were made of alumina grades G-2, GK, and G-0. It was established that for the production of mullite-corundum chamotte it is best to use alumina G-0 because of its better grindability, compared with G-2, ensuring a higher quality of chamotte during firing in rotary kilns.
