Yield depression in methanol-utilizing batch cultures

Summary

Yield depression, as opposed to growth inhibition, in batch cultures of methanol-utilizing microorganisms is discussed. Under conditions where the yield coefficient varies, the effect on oxygen demand has been predicted for exponentionally growing cultures.
