Some regularities in the emission spectra of lead doped alkali halides

  • Published:
Zeitschrift für Physik A Hadrons and nuclei

Abstract

Spectral analyses of fluorescence in unannealed and annealed alkali chlorides, bromides and iodides with lead are compared with the results of absorption measurements and of ultramicroscopic and electron-microscopic study of these crystals. The relations (3)–(8) which are of the Mollwo-Ivey type were obtained for the positions of the emission bands. The precipitates show their own luminescence.
