A unified model description of some nuclei in theN=49 region

  • Published:
Zeitschrift für Physik A Hadrons and nuclei

Abstract

The unified model has been applied in a description of the structures of91Mo,89Zr and87Sr as well as to the lighter strontium nuclei85Sr and83Sr. The quasi-particles 1g 9/2, 2p 1/2, 2p 3/2, 1f 5/2, 2d 5/2, 3s 1/2 and 2d 3/2 have been coupled to the vibrations of the cores. An improvement over the earlier shell model calculations is obtained for the strontium nuclei while forN=49 nuclei the prediction of anomalous states populated in some direct reaction studies is achieved.
