Spectral properties of a linearized magnetohydrodynamics model

Abstract

One considers the linear oscillations of a perfectly conducting nonviscous plasma in an external rectilinear magnetic field. One studies the frequency spectrum corresponding to a fixed harmonic mode. One has investigated the asymptotic behavior of the discrete spectrum at infinity and around the boundary of the essential spectrum.
