Conclusions
A method and calculation results of the temperature fields in solidification of a bakor casting are presented. A comparison of experimental data with the calculation results showed good agreement.
In determination of the parameters of operation with a feeder head (moments of breakthrough and separation) it is necessary to take into consideration the fact that during the time of filling the mold with molten material and during a certain time after filling the formation and shrinkage of the solid phase do not occur.
For the purpose of creating the conditions for successive solidification from the bottom it is necessary to take into consideration the difference in intensity of heating of the cover and the bottom of the mold during the time of filling.
