Abstract
The intrinsic conductivity of zone refined KCl- and KBr-crystals is measured as a function of temperature. Plotting logσ versus 1/T the slope is composed of two straight lines which show a knee at 500 °C. The possibility of dominant anionmobility at higher temperatures is discussed. — Below 300 °C there is a nonlinear dependence of current on voltage. The shape of theV-J characteristic is a hint to space charge limited electron currents, which are influenced by quasi continuously distributed traps.
