Single pion production by linearly polarized photons at high energies

Abstract

There exists a one-to-one correspondence between the dependence of the single-pion-photoproduction amplitude on the linear polarization of the photons at high energies and small momentum transfer in the direct channelγ+N→π+N on one hand and the parity of the exchanged particle-system in the crossed channelγ+π→N+¯N on the other.
