Abstract
In the presented paper the behaviour of mixtures of ionizing atomic gases in the direction of electric current as a function of space and perpendicular to the current as a function of temperature is studied. The ionization energies of the “constituents” being either extremely different from each other or equal (isotopes), simple solutions of the problem can be given which may be useful for the understanding of effects of mass separation being found in such mixtures.
