Estimate of the depolarization of transversely polarized electrons emitted from thin sources

Zusammenfassung

Die Depolarisation transversal polarisierter Elektronen im radioaktiven Präparat wird unter vereinfachenden Annahmen abgeschätzt. Dabei stellt sich heraus, daß der Beitrag der Vielfachstreuung praktisch vernachlässigbar ist, während die Einzelstreuung zu einer relativen Depolarisation führt, die bei bestimmter Zusammensetzung und Dimension der Quelle die Größenordnung von 10% haben kann.
