Chemistry of Natural Compounds Aims and scope

Abstract

The epigeal part ofPulicaria uliginosa (P. dysenterica) has been investigated for the first time for its γ-lactone content. The guaiane γ-lactone gaillardin, C17H22O5 has been isolated, and its crystal and molecular structures have been established by the x-ray structural method (diffractometer, CuKα, 770 reflections, direct method, R = 0.108).
