Zusammenfassung

Eine neue Bestimmung der Lorentz-Kontraktion bestätigt zunächst das positive Ergebnis zahlreicher früherer Untersuchungen über die Existenz dieser Erscheinung. Es wird sodann die etwaige Abhängigkeit derselben vom Brechungsindex mittels vergleichender Ablesungen zweier Libellen geprüft, von denen die eine in üblicher Weise, die andere der Reihe nach auf einem Glaswürfel, ferner auf einem in verschieden stark lichtbrechende Substanzen eingetauchten Metallwürfel aufgestellt ist.
