Abstract
Recent experiments make possible the approximate determination of mixing ratios∫σ/∫1 for several nuclei in J→J beta transitions. We verify that the signs of these ratios in two nuclei (Sc44 and Mn52) are consistent with plausible assumptions about the nature of the nuclear wavefunctions, as determined using thej-j coupling nuclear shell model.
